Marketing for ManufacturersMarketing for Manufacturers is a multi-faceted set of issues. Rather than trying to cover the marketing for manufacturers in a single website, I have taken a different approach in creating multiple websites under the banner of Cannon Advantage.

Marketing for Manufacturers in Meadville, PAIn a discussion with my medical device, sales representative, son yesterday, we both agreed there is only offense in successful companies. There is no defense that wins games.

In football, there is a thing called the prevent defense. It is usually employed toward the end of the game to prevent the other team from scoring. In the manufacturing business, if your marketing is not on offense, then your competition will surpass you, and take your customers. If that happens, your business will fail. If you are standing still, you are really going backwards.

Successful marketing for manufacturers must consider “creative destruction” where new products are developed to not only take business from competition, but also to take business from the manufacturer’s own existing product. Creative Destruction is to marketing what continuous improvement is to manufacturing operations.

Innovation is key to creative destruction.
